📌 Introduzione alla mia esperienza di stage

I still cannot believe that I'm actually, qualified to publish this video but, yeah so I got internship which is really, weird to think about because I was also,in the same situation not like us other, people but now I'm done I think that,I'll be able to talk about what step was, helpful for me and how this experiences, was useful and helpful for me to,discover my own interest uh with my,future career so yeah let's get started, thank you,hi guys my name is Warren I'm currently,a junior at the corner University I,study for hotel management and, clustering finance and I recently got an,offer from JP Morgan for my junior, summer internship for 2023. yeah it's,really I still cannot believe that I can, actually could able to say this because,it was a long process for me and now it,feels like I think I should share this, story to other people because I really, want to tell to everyone that you're not,the only one who are dealing with the, struggle and process of getting getting, internship because last year when I was, like in a sophomore year and I didn't,really know anything about in terms of,the recruiting process especially as,version this is really new to me this is,when I was in high school like I was, only concerned about the ideas of like, academics and just getting Grays and, after I got into Cornell I thought I,just need to do the same thing and, eventually I will get the job or,something or going to grad school but, come think of it getting a job or,internship is totally different process, but because a lot of job doesn't require,to you don't really care about what, grades you got for every single class, you have it's all about like what, experience you had outside of a class, and also if you're willing to learn new, material in like at the workplace so,everything was really new to me and this, process really makes me think about what,do I actually want to do for my career, because it's not really easy question to,answer and I'm still discovering for, myself about what I want to do I,hopefully this internship will help me,to discover what I want to do if I'm,feature so yeah so the internship that I,got from JB Morgan was that I got an,offer for corporate Investment Banking,I'm not going to say specific team that,I'm working with within the division the, reason is like that's a little bit, personal I don't want to share too much, information to the Internet so anyway, and also got like different other offers, from different firms such as Bank of,America uh also I've got to offer from,Goldman sex but Goldman says was from, the Japan division it's a little bit, different from what I also apply for, domestic the one in the United States so,in this video I would kind of like to,spill it two different parts uh so first, half the video I will talk about my,experiences throughout getting this, internship and the second part of the, video would be the tips you might be,able to use for yourself to get your job, that everyone's have for your future, yeah so and before I talk about this, these are all based on my experiences, people getting their offers the, internships and positions different way,I didn't really heavily use networking,as part of my recruiting process so,maybe my experience might be different, from other people,so everything kind of starts at like end,of my sophomore year which was like, spring 2018 22. so at that time it was, like kind of turning point in my life, the reason is that like a lot of my,friends started getting offers for, junior internship at that point so these, kids already plan out some internship, ahead of time so I I was not really I I,was not like them people at Cornell, already prepare about this process, especially their parents or men have, this experiences in the United States, getting an internship but also like us,first Shannon also the immigrants this, process is it's really unknown to us um,because I felt like for myself like I,said earlier if getting a good grades, was the only things I need to do in,while in school but it's not only that,it's just like how am I going to think, about my future career wine in schools, from my experience with my part-time,job,the club that I'm involving everything,is blew me away it's so weird because, this past 14 years my education people, just told me to study it but now they, told me to go outside and find a job,it's just it's kind of harsh you know so,yeah that was kind of my uh like turning, point that like I seriously thought like, okay I need to find internship like, seriously by the time I already applied,a couple of firms like Maureen Stanley,JB Morgan Goldman sucks and I'm applying, for Diversity Program for sophomores,um I didn't get in I I got it I applied,so many of them but it turns out I,always get rejected in like first round, maybe I get to the final round but, usually I get rejected at the end so so,I didn't really expect too much for, myself however I still want to try my,best and find out what I want to do for,my career I decided that like I want to,you know find out my passion or interest, throughout my sophomore internship that,I have so which is like summer 2022. so,for that year I had an internship at the,Hershey Entertainment as a food manager, and also financial analysis during, summer it was rough and I didn't really, like about the job,um so FMV manager it sounds really cool, but what I actually basically did during, the internship was that I asked like, restaurant manager the reason is like, when the restaurants is like is really, busy I always have to work with the host,I'll have to to run out of food, sometimes I have to bus at a table like, yeah basically I have to clean the table, and I just did not like about the, experiences I didn't really feel any, professionalism with my work and I told, myself that this is not going to be my,career in the future so at the during, the summer internship I really hate, about the fact that having that kind of,internship as you know people who go,into Ivy League school um for me it was,was not a really good experience to be,honest but other half the internship I,also work at the furniture analysis, that's the part I really enjoyed for, myself basically like analyzing the, piano statements uh from the couple of,the restaurant to Hershey basically like,I'm just looking like which version is,doing well uh looking through the pns, statements we have to discuss with my,managers that are comparing each revenue, for the restaurant if our Target segment,is actually making revenue and profit, for the restaurants,um that brings so much value as Hershey, interesting in general so I really like, about the financial transaction, throughout the restaurant operations so,I felt like okay even though I wasn't,really sure like what I really want to,do for my career I have somewhat, interest in like maybe Finance but fine,is too broad to say so that's the reason, why I felt like okay since I have, certain passion in finance maybe might,as well trying to apply to like like, largest Food Service like investment, banking banking firms the reason could,it be anything you don't really have to,have a specific reason why for by these, firms if you have certain interest into,it just go for it because I think that's,what I did as well so since I learned, interests about face transactions, apply to uh Goldman Sachs JP Morgan,Chase and also and Morgan Stanley I also,Applied Bank of America as well and yeah, those four are my top four and turns out,I received a hiring mutation which is,like one-way video interview and so I,study for each position that I applied, and I prepare for the higher view turns, out most of them was else okay,um but except one from accept my,application for super day which is the, final round for the uh 2023 summer, internship which was JP Morgan so I,applied for private bank somewhere in,this position so I was invited to four, different super day I think the location, was like new one is in New York uh Palm,Beach Florida Atlanta Georgia and also, the North Carolina so those are the four, that I was invited for the super day, from JB Morgan for private bank I was, really nervous that was my first super, day interview that I uh got and I didn't,know what to do so on the first super, day that I had was the New York office,it was really bad I couldn't really be,by myself and talk naturally answer the, question with my best of my abilities, and I struggle so I told myself the next,Super days I will act like normal human, being so next interview was Palm Beach,Florida actually it went really well and, they really seems to like me and I'm,like oh maybe I got this position, because I was able to act in a natural I,was able to say what I feel and think, about myself and about the firm I,thought I make really great connections, and also that happens the same way for,the other super dates for my uh Atlanta, and also North Carolina so I feel like, okay at least New York didn't well maybe, obviously you might get able to get an,offer so after a few weeks I got emails, from JP Morgan that I didn't get in so I,was like,I was so confused I feel like I aced the, interview but it turns out I didn't get,in I thought I gave my hundred percent,to the interview,um so I was really,um everything what I was doing was not, working I hated my internship that I had,a Hershey for um half of the time and,not getting any offers from my jobs even, though a lot of friends getting offers I,feel like I was worthless so it was like, one of my one like low point of my life, which is really stupid it's just a job,it's just a job it's not a big deal but,so many rejections always helped me to,recognize about my weakness and strength, during the process so when I had the, super day at the JP Morgan I realized, about my strength as being a bilingual,so my first language is Japanese in,English my second language and this is a,really useful practice for me to connect, with my client at work since I could, able to talk in both English and,Japanese on the other side my weekly was, something I didn't really thought about, before the interview which is like, understanding about Current financial, news even though it's not technical you, have to understand the worst Market is,doing at the point when you in the, interview you cannot just say that yes I,I'm very passionate about Finance if you, like about Finance what do you do like, what are you doing every day in your, life not knowing the financial news, shows that you don't have really, passionate about what you're talking, about what you're applying for so when, the school started keep continue, applying for most a lot of My Places, while I was handling with my new classes,it was really tough it feels like 60 on,time during the school I was thinking, about my recruiting while I was, struggling with my midterms I was keep, getting restrictions for all the, problems that I apply so one day I,decided to rethink about my strength and, weakness so my strength was being, bilingual speaking English and Japanese,so I really want to apply for the, position where I could able to utilize, those shrimp so I decided to apply for,JP Morgan uh corporate Investment,Banking it's basically for the sections, for global trading and also the Goldman,Sachs Global Market uh located in Tokyo,Japan so I applied for those two for the, main uh my last chance,um so surprisingly for JP Morgan I was, able to pass on higher review and I was,I was invited to another super day but, this super day I knew for sure that like, can I fail like as last time so I,prepared as much as I can from the day I,received my an invitation for super day,I started to reading through the current,Wall Street Journal that I can look, through um understanding about the crown, financial news, global trading only knowing about U.S,sponsoring us everything was not enough, but also understand about Japanese, financial news that's happened between, the U.S so I think what I talk about, during a study before the interview was,the value of Japanese Yen decreasing, over time I think that really I thinks,to international trading between us and,Japan because Japan is always known as,like exported traded uh country and the,US is known as uh imported traded, country and I talk about how these like, decreasing the currents of Japanese Yen,group affect to trading between these, two countries from the understanding of,both a U.S and Japanese Financial, registrations on the other hand Goldman,Sachs so Japan's one is a little bit, different when I had this interview I,had first second third I have three, random interview for me to do a final, round for the woman sucks so that one, took some more process I was invited for,the final round from the Goldman at that, point I already got an offer from JP,Morgan uh for the corporate Investment,Banking when I had interviewed the JP,Morgan it went really well but not just,I was able to give 100 of my effort, during interview but I was able to talk, about my knowledge and career and, financial situations and talk about my,uh experiences uh as college students, taking culinary classes while I was I,was studying for a BBA and also python,in my other classes I was able to bring, all myself into the table talking about,my passion talking about what class I,was taking and what I'm learning from, this this school at the Cornell and it,was really great experience for me too, discovering about my own interests and, understanding about my value throughout, this recruiting process so in upcoming, summer for 2023 I will be working at the,JP Morgan Chase and I'm really excited,to be part of the team and exploring my,career interests and find what I want to,do for my teacher okay now we want to,move on to the second part of this video, which is the tips you could able to,utilize for your recurring process so,I'm not going to say like specific, things you should do but I think this is,the thing you should keep in your mind, and throughout this process so first, tips I think I should tell that to,everyone is that changing the mindset of,frustration I think like during this, recruiting process especially when I was,not getting any offers or even getting, like passing in my first round I felt I,was worthless I thought like I was not, really good enough to being in this, thick my dream firms but turns out it's,not really true they're always looking, for,oh sorry about the background noise,um,okay you can go so they're always, looking for really specific candidates, for this position so maybe like it's,just a chance to like whether you apply,to the position that match with your, background so some of the recruiting is,so specific so you should not take every, rejection as personal but I should, definitely take every Rejection it has, your learning experiences for you to,think about what you could is able to,improve and that's my candidates for the, next time I think second thing is try to,not to burn yourself during the semester, why you or take dealing with the, midterm, and applying for more than 100,positions,of the internship because,um personally I didn't do well with, these things I think I just did not, really know how to manage myself because,I know there's a time when I had like, six interviews while I had midterms when,I had to interview for Japan it was like, literally like 2 A.M in the morning and,I had exam on the same day like nine a.m,in the morning for me it was not really,a healthy lifestyle for me and I think, like I was wasn't able to focus on my,academics too much and also when I,didn't have enough of sleep usually do,poorly on my interview so always, thinking about understand how to manage, yourself and understand your capacity, because you cannot do everything so you, might ask just like maybe you should not, apply to every position for every, industry and maybe think about specific,uh industry you want to work based on,your interests and your skills that you, have I think another things I it really, helps me is knowing your story from your, resume to the interview stage I think, for me it was really helpful but it,resume is the place when I can only, describe about what I did as my club, member a past summer internship but the, higher view or the actual super day, interview is the place when you bring, your resume to life that's why I always, like to attach my personal story to talk, about why I decide to be part of this, club or organizations where I decided to,work here as an intern for this past, summer higher view or find around, interview would be the great place for,you to express your personality they're,looking to see you through the high view,or the final realm to see who you are as,a person not just us and employees or,the students for me like I originally, major in like engineering has switched,it to business so that was a major, change so during the interview I had to,explain about what reason and what, pasture may need to shift my major by,engineering to business so that was it's,a really important thing about having, that kind of story and ahead of times I,think those are the tips I think I,should probably there's more so if you, have specific question I guess you could, answer the big comments on my on this, video but I don't know but the only, thing I can say is like internship,it's really tough this should not be,determined your value it's something, where I learned because of course like, those like external evaluation is,something that determines whether you,get in or not but at the same times you, always have to believe in yourself your,self-worth and please take an action and, applying for those places so it's okay,if you don't have one when the time is,right you will shine I think that's what,a lot of my friends says I think like, the fact that you're watching this video, you're you're taking an action forward,to understand why you're able to improve, and what you can do for your future, career and personally I'm still, discovering my own career path but, hoping that I was able to discover, throughout this my experiences while I'm,in the school and also throughout, internship everything's on no but I,think as long as you are taking the, action you'll get somewhere where you, belong so that's what I believe in my,life so yeah just keep going and don't,stop and dear Abyss I hope this video, was helpful and yeah yeah that was it,thank you for watching so yeah have a,good day bye

Sì, è incredibile e ancora fatico a crederci.
