🎙️ Introduction
Welcome back to Luke's English Podcast! Today, I want to update you on some exciting new developments and share a few behind-the-scenes stories. Grab your headphones and join me as I take you through the ups and downs of recording on the street, the challenges and delays I've encountered, and what to expect in upcoming episodes. So, let's dive in!
🎙️ Recording on the Street
As you may have noticed, this episode sounds a bit different. That's because I'm actually recording it on the street while walking around. If you hear a variety of noises in the background, like conversations, city sounds, and the occasional honking horn, don't worry, it's all part of the ambiance. Recording in such conditions is quite challenging, but I thought it would be a fun and different way to connect with you, my listeners.
🎙️ Updates on Luke's English Podcast
First things first, I want to assure you that Luke's English Podcast is still going strong. Despite the recent delays and disruptions, the podcast is alive and well. So, if you've been wondering whether I've vanished into thin air, fear not! I apologize for the lack of episodes over the past few months, and I want to take this opportunity to fill you in on what's been happening behind the scenes.
🎙️ Challenges and Delays
Oh, the joys of unexpected challenges and delays! Unfortunately, life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them. Over the past months, multiple factors have contributed to the interruption of my usual podcasting routine. To give you a glimpse into my world, let me share a few of these hurdles I've had to navigate.
One significant hurdle was my daughter falling ill with COVID. Thankfully, she has fully recovered since then, but her recovery took time. During her illness, she needed my full attention and care, which prevented me from working on the podcast. Additionally, my wife also fell ill during that same period, though not with COVID. This double challenge of caring for both my daughter and wife while also dealing with my own health issues put a pause on my podcasting efforts.
On top of these personal challenges, several external factors disrupted my recording schedule. For instance, I've had to be present at home for various appointments related to our apartment renovations, such as deliveries and meetings with contractors. These appointments often clashed with my usual working hours, making it difficult for me to find dedicated podcasting time.
🎙️ Patience and Understanding
I understand that the delay in new episodes might be frustrating for some listeners. Trust me when I say that I sympathize with your impatience. As a content creator, I'm always eager to deliver fresh and engaging material for you. However, sometimes life gets in the way, and these unavoidable obstacles arise. I am doing my best to manage these challenges and bring you new episodes as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Your support means the world to me, and it motivates me to put in the extra effort to overcome these obstacles and get back into my normal podcasting routine.
🎙️ Upcoming Episodes and Collaborations
Now, on to the good news! Despite the delays, I've been working diligently on the podcast, and I have several exciting episodes in the pipeline. I just need a little more time to finalize and upload them.
One upcoming episode to look forward to is a live talk I did at the British Council. In this talk, I explored the enduring appeal of The Beatles and why people love them so much. The discussion took place in front of a live audience, and I recorded it for the podcast. I can't wait to share it with you!
I've also had the pleasure of being a guest on other podcasts recently. For example, I joined Anthony Rotuno on his podcast to discuss meditation and its impact on language learning. If you're interested, be sure to check out that episode.
Additionally, I'll be finishing up Premium Episode 33 soon, and it will be available for premium subscribers. So, keep an eye out for that if you have a premium subscription.
🎙️ Recommendations for Further Listening
While you wait for the next episode of Luke's English Podcast, I recommend checking out some of the collaborations I've been a part of. I recently appeared on the Film Gold podcast, where Anthony Rotuno and I discuss the classic comedy film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." It was a fun and insightful conversation that you won't want to miss.
In addition to "Monty Python," I've covered various topics in my past episodes. If you're new to the podcast or just looking for something to listen to, I suggest episode 202, where I delve into another beloved comedy, and episode 15 of the Film Gold podcast. These episodes will keep you entertained and engaged until the next installment of Luke's English Podcast arrives.
🎙️ Conclusion
Thank you for joining me for this special update on Luke's English Podcast. I hope you enjoyed this different format and the insights into my podcasting journey.
