🌹 Beauty ve Çirkin Canavar

🌹 Beauty and the Beast

Beauty is a rich man's daughter who lives in a big city near the sea. She has three sisters, Rosalind and Hortencia, who are lazy and unfriendly. They enjoy going out and having fun. They both dream of finding a rich husband and resent Beauty because of her beauty. Beauty, on the other hand, has long red hair and is kind-hearted and friendly. She prefers staying at home and reading books. She also enjoys playing the piano.

One day, Beauty's father, a merchant, loses all his wealth when his ship is lost at sea. He sadly reveals to his children, "My dear children, I have very little money left. We are now poor and must leave this big house to live in the countryside." Rosalind and Hortencia cry out, "We are poor! This is terrible! What bad luck!" The three brothers also express their discontent, saying, "We have to work now." However, Beauty consoles them and suggests that they can still be happy without money.

The family moves to the countryside and settles in a small house. Beauty tirelessly takes on the responsibility of cleaning the house and cooking, waking up at four in the morning. He looks out the window and is greeted by a beautiful day with flowers blooming in the garden. After getting dressed, he goes to the hall where he finds biscuits, chocolates, and milk on the table. Thankful for the lovely breakfast, he looks around but doesn't see anyone in sight. He eats and decides it's time to return home. He goes to the stable, retrieves his horse, and notices some roses in the garden. Reminded of Beauty's request for a rose, he picks a lovely one.

Suddenly, he hears a terrifying noise and turns around to see an ugly monster—the Beast. Angered, the Beast exclaims, "You're a bad man! You come to my castle, and I save your life. You eat here and sleep here, and then you take one of my beautiful roses! For this, you must die!" Overwhelmed, Beauty's father pleads, "Oh, sir, I'm sorry! You're very kind. Please don't be angry with me. This rose is for one of my daughters."

The Beast glares at Beauty's father and declares, "Then one of your daughters must come and die in your place." Horrified, Beauty's father protests, "No! Beauty's father contemplates her words for a moment and then sadly concedes, "All right, Beauty. You can go. Please take care of yourself and look after your brothers and sisters. They need you." Beauty's brothers, though saddened by her decision, understand her resolve. Rosalind and Hortencia, on the other hand, show no remorse. The next morning, Beauty and her father embark on their journey to the Beast's castle.

Upon entering the castle, Beauty and her father are met with a long table filled with delicious food. Although they are not hungry, they sit down and eat.
